What we fix

We work on Windows laptops and desktops from Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus and others, and on custom-built PCs. We don’t repair Apple Macs.

How to book a repair
Option 1: Drop-off by appointment.
Bring it to FCOMS UK CIC, Office 2, 2nd Floor, 309 High Street, West Bromwich, B70 8LX. Visits are by appointment only, so please book first and we’ll make sure someone is there to meet you. Open Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm.
Option 2: Collection or call-out.
We collect from homes and businesses anywhere in the West Midlands, including Sandwell, Birmingham, Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton. Collection is free in Sandwell, usually the same day. Elsewhere in the West Midlands there’s a small collection fee, which we quote when you book.
What happens next
- Diagnosis. We find the fault and call you with a fixed price. Nothing else is done without your OK.
- Repair. We order any parts and fix it. Most repairs are done in 1–3 working days once the parts are in.
- Testing. We test the repair and the rest of the machine before it goes back.
- Collection or return. You pick it up by appointment, or we bring it back.
Your data
We only look at what we need to fix the fault. If a repair could put your files at risk (a failing drive, a Windows reinstall), we tell you before we start and offer to back them up.
Repair or replace?
If a repair would cost more than the machine is worth, we’ll tell you. Sometimes an SSD or memory upgrade makes more sense, and sometimes a refurbished machine does. Questions about computer repair
How much is a diagnostic?
£35. We tell you what’s wrong and give you a fixed price for the repair. If you go ahead, the £35 comes off the repair price.
How long will it take?
Most repairs are done in 1–3 working days once the parts are in. If we need to order a screen or battery, we’ll tell you how long it will take when we quote.
Can I just turn up?
Please book first. Visits to our office are by appointment only, so we can make sure someone’s there.
Do you collect?
Yes, anywhere in the West Midlands. It’s free in Sandwell, usually the same day. Elsewhere there’s a small fee, which we quote when you book.
What does the 30-day warranty cover?
If the same fault comes back within 30 days, or a part we fitted fails, we fix it free. It doesn’t cover new damage such as drops or spills. The warranty is on top of your legal rights.
Do you repair business computers?
Yes. For offices with several machines, our monthly IT support plans may work out cheaper than one-off repairs.
