MyGSA: a website for a Birmingham business rates consultancy
Client: GSA Consultancy Limited · Professional services · Birmingham · mygsa.co.uk
GSA Consultancy helps UK businesses and landlords cut their business rates. Its team audits rates bills, claims reliefs and takes appeals through the Valuation Office Agency’s Check, Challenge, Appeal process. We designed its website, mygsa.co.uk.
The problem
Plenty of businesses pay more business rates than they should. The causes are easy to miss: an out-of-date valuation, a property placed in the wrong category, or a relief such as Small Business Rates Relief that was never claimed. Some owners only find out after years of overpaying.
GSA needed a website that explains this in plain terms to an owner who has never questioned a rates bill, and makes the next step, a free audit, easy to take. Business rates is a technical subject, and the site has to earn the trust of someone who is about to hand over their bills.
What we built
- Clear service pages. Rates audits and liability reviews, VOA appeals and representation, relief claims and empty rates advice, each written for a non-specialist.
- A free savings assessment. The offer of a free audit runs through the site, so visitors always know the next step.
- Answers before the call. An FAQ covering the questions owners ask most, from how appeals work to which reliefs apply.
- Proof in one place. Client testimonials and case studies, so visitors can judge GSA’s track record for themselves.
- Insights and guides. A news and guides section for owners researching business rates.
- Easy contact. A contact form, a phone number and WhatsApp.
The result
mygsa.co.uk explains a complicated tax in plain English and leads visitors to a free audit. The footer carries our credit, “Design by FCOMS UK CIC”.
We also built TheRatesHub, our own software for rates advisers, so we know this sector from both sides.
