Is your website costing you enquiries?
Most of the small-business sites we’re asked to look at have the same few problems. They’re slow on a phone, the contact details are hard to find, and Google doesn’t know which town the business serves, so it shows a competitor instead. Some were built on a page builder that hasn’t been updated in years and now can’t be safely updated at all.
A website for a local business has one job: turn someone who’s searching for what you do into a call, a booking or a message. Everything we build is aimed at that.
What’s included in every website
- Built for phones first. Most local searches happen on a phone, so we design for a small screen and then scale up.
- Local SEO set up properly. Page titles, headings and descriptions written around what your customers search for, your business details marked up for Google, and a site structure that tells Google where you work.
- Fast pages. Lightweight themes, compressed images and no unnecessary plugins. We aim for a mobile PageSpeed score of 85 or more.
- Contact that works. A short enquiry form with spam protection, click-to-call on mobile and, where it helps, online booking.
- Yours to edit. We build on WordPress, so you can change text and photos yourself, and we show you how.
- Secure from day one. HTTPS, up-to-date software, and backups included when you’re on our hosting.

How a website project runs
- A 30-minute call. You tell us what the business does, who your customers are and what the site needs to do. We tell you honestly whether you need a new site or a few fixes to the one you have.
- A fixed quote. You get a written price and a list of pages before any work starts.
- Design and build. We share a working draft on a private link so you can see it on your own phone, and we make changes from your feedback.
- Launch. We set up redirects from any old pages so you don’t lose existing Google rankings, connect Google Search Console, and check every form.
- Afterwards. Keep the site yourself, or put it on a maintenance plan and we’ll keep it updated and backed up.
Most five-page sites go live within 1–2 weeks of the content being ready.

Charity and not-for-profit websites
As a CIC we know how tight charity budgets are. Every web project for a registered charity or not-for-profit gets 15% off, and we can write the site so it supports funding bids: clear impact pages, donation and volunteer forms, and accessible design that meets WCAG 2.2 AA. Questions about web design
How much does a website cost?
A five-page business site is £650. Online shops and booking sites are £1,200 to £1,800, depending on how many products or services there are and what needs connecting. You’ll get a fixed price before we start.
Do I have to pay for hosting with you?
No. We can build on your existing hosting, or host it for £25 a month including backups.
Can you fix my existing website instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. If the site is sound and only needs speed, mobile or SEO fixes, we’ll say so and quote for that.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I change website?
Not if the move is done properly. We map every old page to a new one with 301 redirects and check them after launch.
Do you work with businesses outside the West Midlands?
Yes. Web projects are done remotely, so we work with clients anywhere in the UK.
Can I update the site myself?
Yes. It’s built on WordPress, and we’ll show you how to edit pages and add blog posts.
